Getting your readers to buy products from your site is more than just a matter of making them available.

Readers are not just customers, but consumers (there is a difference!) and will be using the products you make available to them to run businesses, or grow themselves personally in some way.

Gaining and maintaining your readers’ trust is extremely important not only for generating sales but for creating opportunities for getting bigger and more influential clients.

The customers are always right, and you need to make them realize that they would be doing the right thing by buying your products.

Build Authority

Authority is the number one way to get your readers to buy from you. The more you assert yourself and use your knowledge and information, the better position you put yourself in.

If you’re at the forefront of your market, your readers will consider your products as the tools needed to achieve a similar level of success. Leveraging your authority to convince your readers will increase your sales effectiveness.

    Great information! The biggest one on your list I believe is build authority. Which I took as building creditability. With out creditability, your readers might not value your product or service as much. A few easy ways to build creditability is become a leader in your niche. That can easily be done by commenting on blogs and through social media followings. Another easy way is to get certifications in your niche. These do wonders for building your creditability.

    Authority is the tricky one. It takes time to develop and good relationships with your customers. Once you have it you can sell just about anything. But getting there means a lot of work. Just because you know your word is good nobody else knows that.

    I agree with what both Jared and Best CSS Gallery mentioned. Building authority is tricky, but critical to start with a great product or service that you really believe in. If you don’t believe in it first, no one else will.

    Another way to build authority and give value is by giving a short presentation, like how to build referrals in three easy steps, at a civic organization, like the lions club.

    You must however, make sure your presentation isn’t a sales pitch and focused just on the information and giving value. If you speech is great the sale will come naturally.

    I like the celebrity endorsement idea, I think this works well. This all builds on the fact that interacting with your niche works well. As you could make this a mutual benefit endorsement and both gain from the venture. I am currently trying different techniques to gain more readers and I definately would like to try this one.
