So many good points, but I have to agree with: Stop Doing Things You Don’t Do Well. Why continue to try working on things that your not good at, when you can focus on things that you are good at.
A great set of tips, thanks!
Heh “avoid excessive reasoning”.
I like this one, because it’s something I say, too.
Part of analyzing effectively is to analyze only what’s necessary to understanding, then to take action.
Smaller details are completely unimportant.
Hey Michael,
Good post, good book.
#1 “Do one thing at a time” is the method that I most use, especially if I have a ton of projects to knock out.
I will pick one thing and hammer it out and then move on to the next, knocking them all out like a row of dominoes.
I’m a young entrepreneur as well and enjoy reading your blog, keep up the great work!
What is so simple & so common sense needs to stated & discussed implies how lost we (in general) are in our lives. I think it can definitely be simplified to anyone stops being superhuman attempting all at once.
These being wise 17 points are the one which I was committed to when I started business, but later on I slowly forgot them all, except a few like not getting the work piled…
Thanks for introducing these commitments back. This time I will follow them sincerely.
avoid excessive reasoning, I like this one too! It’s so easy to over analyze things and then become paralyzed when it comes to making a decision
Yes I agree some of them and I wanna say that “Don’t get too greedy! There is nothing wrong with having a bit of greed, but too much can hurt you. If you ever have the opportunity to walk away from whatever you are doing and put a few million dollars into your pocket, do it. A few million dollars is life changing!”
I like number 11. People can waste so much of your time talking! Another book I recommend is “The 4 Hour Work Week”. Has lots good nuggets of advice 😀
Joyce Meyer has always been a no nonsense type. Her advice is quite sound. Its just what our grandparents have been telling us forever. Simplify your life, live it with integrity and smell those roses!
Thanks for the post and I think another important thing is “Spending money on good lawyers and accountants will save you more money in the long run”.
Another is “Accept criticism, no matter who gives it to you”
Excellent Sentences, if at least we try to follow and maintain half, it will give us good result. good way of simplify life.
Complicated life sucks. It ruins every thing in life. Things are loosing in vain. But when you simplify your life, things that you gain in life are endless. Actually this is really a help full post. And Amazing
I haven’t read this book by Joyce Meyer, but the concept is great! One of my biggest tips I would say, and something I constantly try to put in my head is the following, “When things are going wrong, never surrender!”
Till then,
Jean
Generally people not follows your given rules, if sincerely people will people only half of listed here, they can be reach at good level…
Couldn’t agree more.
Kind of tying in #4 and #9 —- hire out the menial stuff, and the stuff you’re not good at. Leverage!!
#1. Do one thing at a time. Everyone thinks there isn’t a better multitasking machine than them. Well, they are wrong. It affects their work, their judgment and hence everything.
Thanks for the keys.
