If you decide to do something with the blog, you would have to refund all.

I think the key to success with monetization is offer plenty of options.

My travel blog normally gets a few advertising enquiries from owner-managed lodging facilities. Have never got any follow-up after sending them my rates. Now I understand why…my advertising options are only banner structured, yet there is an opportunity to offer text based links at far reduced rates.

Thank you for sharing this piece of goldmine, going forward I’ll now create a similar recommended sites option where travel suppliers will be able to buy links at reduced rates.

You’ve also allowed me the chance to duplicate this format on all my online projects.

Thank you.

I did tell my programmers to have Nofollow on my adverts and just emailed them to make sure its changed.

Thanks for the heads up Titans

Actually, advertisers usually even ask you to make their text link a nofollow. This can make you some nice money because every word you write is a potential advertising space you can sell. So even if you’ve ran out of banner space, you can advertise through those words in your posts.

I like your idea for a new blog post and will do that for you as soon as possible.

One of the problems I have is keeping advertisers signed up and your point about making partnerships rather than just a seller/buyer is a good one to do.

I’d love to see another post about different techniques to use to go about finding those first advertisers to get on board. I think that would also help the rest of your audience!

Keep up the great work
